Microtest shortlisted for Digital Healthcare award

Microtest has been shortlisted in the CornwallLive EDGE Awards 2018. The company, which specialises in clinical software, has been named as a finalist in the “Best Digital Innovation in Healthcare” category.

The CornwallLive EDGE Awards were set up to celebrate Cornwall’s position as one of the fastest growing areas in the country for digital and tech businesses, and to highlight specific sectors where Cornwall is leading the way in digital innovation.

Microtest is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of clinical IT systems for the NHS, with customers across England and the Channel Islands. They have also recently been awarded a valuable new contract as one of only two approved suppliers of clinical IT systems to NHS surgeries in Wales.

Microtest currently hold the national title of ‘Best IT Provider’ in the prestigious GP Awards 2017-2018.

Microtest was shortlisted for this CornwallLive EDGE award for its innovative Guru product. Using this ground-breaking software solution, patients can allow authorised clinicians to remotely access their GP patient medical records, directly at the point of care. This helps to improve quality of care, speeding the patient’s journey through the care process.

Chris Netherton, MD of Microtest said: “We are honoured to have been shortlisted for our pioneering work in clinical software. The medical sector is extremely fast-moving and challenging. This requires companies like ours to be continually innovating and raising our game. It is wonderful to see all the hard work of our people recognised in this way.”

The winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony at The Lighthouse Cinema, Newquay on 15th November.
