As we did last year, Microtest will be automatically generating the figures which are used by the Pneumococcal Vaccine Uptake Collection 2007 for the HPA (Health Protection Agency). This optional process will be fully automated so that practices do not have to produce manual searches, nor run external MIQUEST queries.

Practices who wish to opt-out of this process should email opt-out of pneumococcal 2007 before May 18th. Any practice who has not emailed by this date will be included automatically.

The automatic process will occur during the night, some time during the first couple of weeks of May. Practices will then be able to check the results and raise any queries with us, before the information is sent to the HPA.

To view the information produced by the automated process look for a HTML document on your T: drive called 'pneumo'. Double-click this document to open it into Internet Explorer (or your nominated web browser).

Microtest will electronically transmit the data collected to the HPA near the end of May (the final deadline is June 1st but the date we send the information will depend on various factors).
