Microtest now compliant with GMS Phase 4
Microtest recently concluded conformance testing with CfH to meet the requirements of GMS Contract Reporting - Phase 4. This includes new exception reporting information for QMAS, but has little effect on the practice systems.

The software updates required for GMS Phase 4 have already been rolled-out to practices remotely and have automatically installed.

Microtest pass Choose & Book compliance
Microtest are pleased to announce that we have passed Choose & Book compliance, having completed the required witness testing. We were one of the fastest suppliers to complete this process, and intend to continue working to deliver Choose & Book as quickly as possible, beginning our roll-out next week (wc 8th August).

Practices should continue to liaise with their PCTs who will make arrangements for Choose & Book to be enabled. Microtest will be speaking directly to PCTs as and when required.

Stockport Roadshow - September 28th 2005
Microtest are pleased to announce that we are returning to the fabulous Bredbury Hall & Country Club in Stockport for a roadshow on September the 28th.

Evolution Appointments Released
Following a successful period of beta testing, Evolution Appointments is now on general release and is available to purchase for all our clinical clients running PM2.

Evolution Appointments includes the powerful electronic appointments book and clinic management modules of Evolution and can be used alongside your existing PM2 system. Appointments includes a host of improvements such as colour-coding of clinics, user defined layouts and WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) Windows interface.

The remaining modules of the Evolution clinical package are in phase 2 beta testing at our early adopter practices and have been very well received.

NPfIT / CfH Guidance on choice of GP Systems
A new copy of the combined guidance to practices relating to choice of GP systems has been posted on the E-Health Insider (Primary Care) website under the Top Downloads category.

The document details guidance from both the NPfIT and BMA and is essential reading for anyone concerned that they will be forced to change systems. The document was originally issued in September 2004.
