Microtest today announced that it has been confirmed as a Lot 1 supplier within the GP Systems of Choice (GPSoC) framework contract, which was issued by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC). The new contract will enable Microtest to continue to provide its comprehensive software package, which provides everything a GP practice needs to operate – without need for any add-on products. The procurement for the new GPSoC framework is broken down into three separate lots, of which, Lot 1 focuses on GP Clinical IT Systems: “Functionality that is essential for a modern paper-light GP practice. These products are either already in use, or intended for use by a large majority of practices and are funded centrally.” Microtest is one of the UK’s top four GP system suppliers and has been providing clinical systems to the primary care sector since 1982.
Chris Netherton, Managing Director of Microtest said: “We are delighted to have succeeded in our bid and have put in a lot of time and effort to ensure that our innovative solutions will be centrally funded for our current customers and those we hope to bring on board during the contract.”
