Staff at Microtest are celebrating today after the company achieved its third major business award of the year.
Microtest was named Family Business of the Year at last night’s Western Morning News Business Awards, beating off strong competition from businesses across Devon, Cornwall and West Somerset. Earlier in the year, Microtest was a double award winner at the Cornwall Business Awards, winning for Best Family Business and Business Innovation of the Year.
Microtest develops innovative clinical software systems which are used by GP surgeries across the country to manage their practices. It is a highly competitive field and Microtest has grown to become one of the leading national suppliers.
Microtest also provide IT and communication services and retail to businesses and home users.
The company is based in Bodmin, Cornwall and also has offices at Plymouth Science Park in Devon.
Chris Netherton, who has been Managing Director of the company since 1987, commented:
“This is a fantastic tribute to all the hard work of our team over recent years. In our market, it is vital to be constantly innovating and improving your products, while listening carefully to your customers and delivering great service. Our talented people have done just that and we will be launching more exciting new products over the next few years.”
