Microtest customers are benefitting from the launch of its new CHA2DS2-VASc Stroke Score and Risk Calculator tool. The tool, which is free of charge to all Microtest users, is now available within Microtest’s Evolution GP clinical system and means that with a simple click, users can update a patient’s live medical record and clear Atrial Fibrillation (AF) QOF deficits. The CHA2DS2-VASc Stroke Score is a clinical prediction rule for estimating the risk of stroke in a patient’s Atrial Fibrillation (AF).
This streamlined solution enables users to gather all patients in the surgery’s AF register into one table and collate all the information into one place, which is used to calculate the score. The table also lists all the anticoagulant drugs currently being prescribed for each patient. The solution will then automatically score each patient or the selected patients and calculate the percentage risk in just seconds, while displaying when the last score was calculated. It writes directly back to Evolution’s live patient record in the Notes and History sections and Read codes to the business rules so that QOF is automatically updated.
