Healthcare interoperability

Microtest is at the forefront of the healthcare interoperability movement in the UK. Having started work on the IRDIP Electronic Health Record in 2000 and delivered a fully working solution in 2001, Microtest has continued to invest time and resource into developing and producing the best and most efficient solutions for sharing data.

Graphnet Health Shared Record

We have been working on many solutions - including Graphnet Health - since 2003. Our joint data streaming interoperable solution with Graphnet Health has been live at NHS Stockport and other locations across the UK for some time.

In these locations, healthcare professionals have controlled access to a comprehensive patient record, which includes clinical information from both Primary and Secondary Care.

Guru

Our new interoperable web-based solution, Guru, is leading the way in joined up healthcare with its innovative functionality. Community hospitals, A&E and the Out of Hours services are just a small number of areas where Guru delivers access to a Detailed Patient Record in real time, which ultimately leads to improved patient safety. The secure solution enables healthcare professionals to identify the patient they are with, following appropriate permissions, and access demographics and vital patient information, such as:

risk indicators for asthma, COPD and diabetes
repeat medication
acute medication
patient history
allergies
INR
Read code information

Future versions will enable community users to input information about their patient activity and send this back to the surgery. This solution requires no data streaming and delivers a live and detailed patient record to the point of care, exactly when needed.

Evolution Interworking

Evolution Interworking allows a commissioning group or Consortium to share patient data and services across an area or group of practices. Whilst each practice retains its own identity and data, clinics can be created covering patients across many practices with the system behaving as if all patients are on a single system.

This solution provides total patient flexibility as any patient can visit any practice within the cluster, knowing that whichever practice they visit will have full access to and use of their clinical record, therefore assuring them that they will get the very best and most efficient service.
