Microtest, an IT company based in Bodmin, is running an event on March 8th at which it will unveil its innovative solutions to help meet the challenges facing the NHS and improve patient care.
The event will take place between 12noon – 4pm at Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club.
Microtest will present their exciting new range of products and services designed to help GP surgeries and other healthcare providers collaborate and share patient records across settings.
The trend towards collaboration is a key current trend in UK healthcare, with many surgeries joining together to work as groups or federations, to increase efficiency and save costs. As one of the top UK providers of GP clinical systems, Microtest are recognised national leaders in the field of healthcare IT, as well as providers of a wide range of IT and communications services to local businesses of all kinds.
Their new web-based IT system for GP surgeries, Open Evolution, will start to be phased in to surgeries from this April. It will enable GPs to share patient records across surgeries and settings, whilst remaining fully compliant with the Data Protection Act. Open Evolution will also integrate seamlessly with other clinical systems.
Whilst Open Evolution will support federations of any size, Microtest are also launching a Small Federation Model (designed especially for federations including less than ten practices.)
In addition, Microtest are launching communications systems to support federations – including cloud based phone systems and secure cross-federation dictation systems.
The event will also showcase other innovative products from Microtest, including Planned. Care, the first collaborative care plan system to be made available nationwide and The Waiting Room, an online patient services system for surgeries.
Representatives from NHS Digital and NHS England will be available to answer any questions at the event as well as the Microtest team.
