Batch Scanning
Use Microtest Batch Scanning to streamline your paperwork, taking the first step towards the paperless surgery.
Batch Scanning allows practices to scan in their papers, forms and documents, creating a permenant, flexible electronic record. Scanned items can be catagorised and grouped then further sorted by date, name or owner. Each scanned item is stored on your fileserver, and can, in a couple of keypresses, be assigned to a patient or as a general surgery document.
Batch Scanning fully supports multi-page TIFFs allowing a real electronic document to be created, or simply single pages, depending on your needs. Because they are stored on your main server, scanned items are automatically included in the backup process, ensuring that you never lose any paperwork again! Each item is also audited in keeping with Caldicot Guidelines and medi-legal requirements for that extra piece of mind. This fully flexible solution also allows electronic annotation of the documents. To highlight a piece of text, or to circle an area of an image for example. Simply choose the highlighter and 'draw' on the item. The highlight is automatically applied and saved with your user details, so that anyone can see the annotation you've made. Advanced layering features allow you to turn annotations on and off, to apply different coloured highlights to distinguish between users and to view the original un-edited image underneath. Of course, if that's all that is required, an annotation can simply be a text comment.
Using our recommended Fujitsu scanner (call for details) Batch Scanning can scan in up to 50 A4 pages in 2 minutes (depending on complexity of pages and system settings). For further details or more information, call Microtest Sales on 0845 345 1606 |
